St. Ignatious Malankara Jacobite Syriac Christian Cathedral
St. Ignatious Malankara Jacobite Syriac Christian Cathedral is part of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America. The church was founded in 1977, and over the years has seen steady growth in both membership and spiritual activities. In October 2012, His Holiness Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, declared it the first Cathedral of the Malankara Archdiocese in North America.
Today, the Cathedral is home to more than 140 families. We warmly welcome you to visit and join us in worshiping God Almighty, following the ancient and holy traditions of the Syriac Orthodox Church.
To encourage greater youth and young adult participation, the English Service Chapel was consecrated on May 6, 2017, by H.E. Theethose Mor Yeldo. The vision of this chapel is to build an Orthodox community where people can find transformation and growth in Jesus Christ, grounded in the faith that has been believed, taught, preserved, and defended since the Day of Pentecost.
